We went to Intercourse, PA for our Valentines Weekend with our small group and stayed in a Best Western motel- a really nice place... We did some casual shopping, eating fresh homemade pretzels and scrumptious apple fritters, and of course eating breakfast at the famous Deiners outside of Lancaster. We were guests at the Amish home we previously had attended. Again, the meal was soooooo good! We enjoyed the great meal, plus the singing and fellowship we shared with them. We even had food to take home with us.!! In the evening we watched movies and played games. It was a great time with all our small group friends.
I actually went to the Eastern Sports Show in Harrisburg for a short while. It was crowded and was not my type of place to visit, but I was able to see the booth that Jim spent most of his time at, meet 2-3 other exhibitors and see their businesses. I connected with our Wyoming friends, Carol and Ty Stutsman, and spent a day showing PA sights to Carol. It was a great day! Because of their connections we were able to get front row seats and tickets to see Phil Robertson, Duck Dynasty star, at a program sponsored by Fathers in the Field - look it up!! Its a great program for Christian men to spend time with boys who need a positive father image!!. We also had breakfast with them the next morning before we had to take off..
We spent a couple days with our friends, Tritts and Rosados. What a hilarious time of laughing and playing games. I loved our time together! If you look at facebook, you will see our turkey friends in action! What a great time with old friends!
We enjoyed being at our Sunday School class social, playing games, eating great food and fellowshipping with old and new friends. Our lives have been so blessed by seeing so many of the friends we have in PA.
We spent a lot of time looking at houses for sale, lots for sale, etc.. Two years ago we had contacted a realtor from Evergreen Development in Mechanicsburg about finding us a place where a lot of our church friends also live. They are smaller homes in close proximity to each other and to many of our shopping places. We decided to make the plunge and make an agreement to buy and settle there. So we will be moving back to Mechanicsburg at 200 Drury Lane before or by the end of October 2016. We bought a corner lot and the house will be built while we are here in Wyoming this summer.
Jim will finish out his 5th guiding/ hunting year here in Wyoming, and will come back out for some of the hunting season next year. We are in the process of getting our WY house listed for sale here in Wy, and seeing how that whole process unfolds. A lot of things to work out, but with God's help and direction it will all work out.
We love our Wyoming friends and will hate to say good bye to them, but feel this is time for us to head back east to friends and family there. What an awesome adventure we have had while living in Wyoming- we are so glad we have experienced the WEST in this area.
